CHS archery team finishes second

Campbellsville High School archery team finished second after hosting and competing in Green County on Saturday, Jan. 11.

 

The team finished with a score of 3,250, which is the highest score in school history.

 

Campbellsville Middle School archery team finished in third place.

 

In the high school girls’ competition, sophomore MaCayla Falls finished second, with a score of 288, which is a season best score.

 

LeeAnna Darst, a freshman, was fifth, with a score of 280.

 

In the boys’ competition, senior Cole Kidwell was third, scoring 282.

 

And junior Clark Kidwell was fifth, with a score of 277. That score is a career high.

 

In the middle school competition, Campbellsville Middle School eighth-grader Braelyn Price won first place, with a score of 289. That score is a career high.

 

Hunter Falls, an eighth-grader, was first in the boys’ competition, with a score of 285, which is his best score this season.

 

CHS sophomore Adin Hunt had a career high score of 263.

 

Noah Mardis, a junior, had a career high score of 252.

 

Several team members had season best scores at the competition.

 

They include senior Tahler Franklin at 262; junior Arren Hash at 268; junior River Kuan at 268; sophomore Grant Lawson at 252; junior Raj Patel at 227; senior Shallan Philpott at 255; freshman Mikaela Scharbrough at 220; freshman Tyler Smith at 274; eighth-grader Kayden Birdwell at 247; seventh-grader Dakota Broyles at 170; sixth-grader Grayson Dooley at 221; seventh-grader Mellany Parker at 209; and seventh-grader Lily Sears at 212.

 

CHS archery team will compete at Thomas Nelson High School on Friday, Jan. 24, and Saturday, Jan. 25.

 

Chris Kidwell and Cathy Falls are the archery coaches.
