CMS students inducted into National Junior Beta Club

Campbellsville Middle School National Junior Beta Club recently welcomed about 50 new members.

CMS hosted an induction ceremony last month.

To be eligible to become a member, CMS students must be a leader in their school, maintain a 3.5 GPA and commit to completing community service hours. Teachers can also nominate students to become members.

At the ceremony, CMS Principal Zach Lewis congratulated the new Beta members and thanked their parents for supporting them.

CMS eighth-grader and Beta President Chloe Thompson said there are four ideals Beta members have, including achievement, character, leadership and service.

Each is represented with a key that will unlock Beta members’ futures.

New members were asked to recite the Beta pledge, which states they will be honest and truthful at all times, maintain a creditable scholastic record, be of service to others and behave in a manner that reflects credit upon the community and CMS.
