CES students learn about quilt making

Campbellsville Elementary School students recently learned about making quilts.

In Adrienne Hash’s art class, students received a visit from two special guests.

Mary Jane Weddle and Mary Street from the Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society came to Hash’s class to talk about how quilts are made.

Weddle and Street showed various quilt pieces and discussed the different materials used to make quilts, which are works of art.

They also discussed the colors and patterns quilt makers can use to make their creations, and how quilts can be used to mark memorable moments.
