CES students learn about physical, chemical changes

Campbellsville Elementary School students are learning about physical and chemical changes.

In Amanda Greer’s class, second-grade students have studied the differences between the changes and are learning to identify them.

As an activity, students were given some chocolate chip cookie dough.

Students removed the chocolate chips from the dough and agreed that doing so was a physical change.

They then added the chips back.

Lastly, students were asked to hypothesize what they believed would happen when the cookie dough was put in an oven, and to identify that type of change.
