Campbellsville Middle School boys’ basketball team will host tryouts and open gym time for students interested in playing this upcoming season.
Open gym time will be Thursday, Sept. 19, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Campbellsville Elementary School gymnasium.
Any CMS student interested in trying out for the team is welcome.
Basketball tryouts will be Monday, Sept. 23, Tuesday, Sept. 24, and Thursday, Sept. 26, at the CES gym.
Tryouts for fifth- and sixth-graders will be Monday, Sept. 23, and Thursday, Sept. 26, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
And tryouts for seventh- and eighth-grade students, and those who are currently playing CMS football, will be Tuesday, Sept. 24, and Thursday, Sept. 26, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Those trying out must attend both days scheduled.
Students interested in trying out must sign up to do so.
Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students will sign up at the CMS office. Fifth-graders interested will sign up at the CES office.
Team roster will be posted at CMS.
There will be a parent and player meeting Monday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m. at the CES gym.
Student athletes are required to have an updated KHSAA Middle School Physical Exam and Participation packet submitted before playing.
Forms are available on the KHSAA website, from head coach Lynn Kearney and at some local doctor offices.
