Campbellsville Elementary School Junior Beta Club members were honored at the Campbellsville Board of Education meeting on Monday, Sept. 9.
CES Principal Elisha Rhodes honored fifth-graders Cayton Lawhorn and Stephen Green and sixth-grader Connor Coots.
The students attended CES last year, and are all attending the iEagle program this school year.
Rhodes honored the students for their performance at the state and national Beta conventions in the 2018-2019 school year.
Lawhorn placed first in math at the Kentucky Junior Beta Convention, and also at the national convention.
Coots was fourth in language arts at the state convention, and 10th overall at the national convention.
And Green placed third in language arts at the state convention, and also competed nationally.
The 2018-2019 school year was the first for the CES Junior Beta Club.
To be invited to join, students must have earned all As and Bs for the previous school year and maintain those grades for the current year.
CES Academic Coach Tammy Hash and teacher Alison LaRue are the CES Junior Beta sponsors.
