CIS adds staff members to Eagle family

Campbellsville Independent Schools recently added 17 employees to the Eagle family.

 

From teachers to instructional assistants and support positions, the new staff members are an integral part of making the school year a success.

 

New employees met for orientation on Friday, Aug. 2, to learn about the District’s policies and procedures and more.

 

Superintendent Kirby Smith met with the employees to welcome them to the District.

 

Rebecca Tungate, payroll clerk and insurance coordinator, also met with the new employees, as did Associate Superintendent and Finance Director Chris Kidwell, Chief Academic Officer Kent Settle and many other staff members.

Campbellsville Elementary School – Emily Andrew, Jessica Dillon, Katie Miller, Tana Phillips and Jessica Robertson, teachers; Kevin Johnson, exceptional child educator; Breanna Spaulding and Malique Spaulding, instructional assistants; and Shannon Richardson and Suzanna Streeval, preschool teachers.

 

Campbellsville High School – Morgan Dalton, Cameron Johnson, Andrea Lawler and Emilie Murrey, teachers; and Adria Rucker, bookkeeper.

 

Board Office – Joseph Knifley, bus driver; and Joshalyn Gholston, Youth Services Center assistant at Campbellsville middle and high schools.

 

CAMPBELLSVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
 

Emily Andrew

 

Emily Andrew is a second-grade teacher at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

She graduated from Columbia Academy in 2010.

 

In 2014, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in early childhood education, and, a year later, a Masters of Education degree in reading from Harding University.

 

She has previously taught third-grade students at Westside and Petal elementary schools.

 

Andrew is the daughter of Randy and Celia Owens of Columbia, Tenn.

 

She is married to Jon Andrew.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, kayaking and being involved in church activities.

 

Jessica Dillon

 

Jessica Dillon is a first-grade teacher at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

She graduated from Taylor County High School in 2005.

 

In 2009, she completed an elementary education degree at Campbellsville University. In 2015, she received a teacher leader degree at CU.

 

She previously taught kindergarten and first grade in Green County and was a second-grade teacher at Kentucky Christian Academy.

 

Dillon is the daughter of Woody and Tena Weatherford of Campbellsville.

 

She is married to Wesley Dillon, and they have a son, Everett Lee.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family members and friends, and is an active member at Green River Memorial Baptist Church.

 

Kevin Johnson

 

Kevin Johnson is an exceptional child educator at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

He graduated from Seneca High School in 1992.

 

In 1997, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in communication at Campbellsville University. He received a master’s degree in special education at CU in 2013.

 

He has previously worked at CIS and Metcalfe County Schools as an exceptional child educator.

 

Johnson is the son of Edward and Jacque Johnson of Louisville.

 

He is married to Amber Johnson, and they have two children, Gavin Johnson, who is a senior at Campbellsville High School, and Kannon Johnson.

 

In his spare time, Johnson enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching baseball and traveling with his family.

 

Katie Miller

 

Katie Miller is a first-grade teacher at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

She graduated from Starr’s Mill High School in 2015.

 

Miller completed an elementary education degree this year at Campbellsville University.

 

She previously worked at the CU bookstore.

 

Miller is the daughter of Paul and Brenda Miller of Fayetteville, Ga.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys helping with the children’s ministry at Elk Horn Baptist Church.

 

Tana Phillips

 

Tana Phillips is a second-grade teacher at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

She graduated from Washington County High School in 2007.

 

In 2012, she completed a liberal arts degree at St. Catharine College. In 2014, she received a master’s degree in community and regional leadership at St. Catharine.

 

And, in 2018, she received a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in elementary education at University of the Cumberlands.

 

Phillips previously taught second grade at Taylor County Schools.

 

She is the daughter of Nora Hatton of Pittsburg, Kan. and Charles and Gayle Phillips of Campbellsville.

 

Phillips is married to Will Phillips.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys travel planning, dancing and Disney.

 

Shannon Richardson

 

Shannon Richardson is a preschool teacher at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

She graduated from Caldwell County High School in 2000.

 

Four years later, she received a Bachelor of Social Work degree at Campbellsville University.

 

In 2012, Richardson completed preschool certification at CU. And, in 2017, she completed a teacher leader master’s degree at CU.

 

She previously taught at Marion County Schools, was a teacher’s assistant at Campbellsville/Taylor County Head Start and owned and operated Giggles and Grins Childcare.

 

She is the daughter of Dennis and Debbie Massey of Princeton.

 

Richardson is married to Jason Richardson, and they have two children, Callie Richardson, a third-grader at CES, and Logan Richardson.

 

In her spare time, Richardson enjoys crafts, singing, gardening and spending time with family members.

 

She is a member of the Kentucky Education Association.

 

Jessica Robertson

 

Jessica Robertson is a fifth-grade teacher at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

She graduated from Nelson County High School in 2004.

 

Robertson completed elementary education degrees at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and Western Kentucky University, in 2011 and 2013, respectively.

 

She previously taught at Washington County Elementary School.

 

Robertson is the daughter of Kim Livers and Tommy Livers.

 

She is married to Cole Robertson, and they have two children, Emmalyn and Owen.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family members and being outdoors.

 

Breanna Spaulding

 

Breanna Spaulding is an instructional assistant at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

She graduated from Campbellsville High School in 2017 and has attended psychology classes at Campbellsville University and Lindsey Wilson College.

 

She has previously worked at Sally’s Beauty and Bounce.

 

Spaulding is the daughter of Genesia Sallee.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys volleyball and reading.

 

Malique Spaulding

 

Malique Spaulding is an instructional assistant at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

He graduated from Campbellsville High School in 2014, and has attended Bluegrass Community and Technical College and Lindsey Wilson College.

 

Spaulding has previously worked at Walmart Supercenter and Wings Pizza N Things.

 

He is the son of Genesia Sallee.

 

In his spare time, he enjoys singing and writing music, and is an assistant soccer and track coach at Campbellsville middle and high schools.

 

Suzanna Streeval

 

Suzanna Streeval is a preschool teacher at Campbellsville Elementary School.

 

She graduated from Adair County High School in 1992.

 

In 1999, she completed an associate degree in computer information systems at Lindsey Wilson College. In 2008, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education at LWC.

 

In 2016, Streeval completed a master’s degree in literacy at University of the Cumberlands. A year later, she finished preschool certification at Campbellsville University.

 

She previously taught at Junction City Elementary School.

 

She is the daughter of Wendell and Faye Burton of Columbia.

 

Streeval is married to Tony Streeval, and they have three children, Leslie, Sarah and Lily.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys her church, family and critters.

 

CAMPBELLSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL

 

Morgan Dalton

 

Morgan Dalton is an English teacher at Campbellsville High School.

 

She graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 2013.

 

In 2017, she received an English teaching degree at Eastern Kentucky University. She is currently completing a Master of Arts in school counseling at Campbellsville University.

 

She previously taught at Bardstown High School.

 

Dalton is the daughter of Kim Case of Elizabethtown.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys attending concerts and sporting events and spending time with friends and family members.

 

Cameron Johnson

 

Cameron Johnson is a music teacher and marching band director at Campbellsville High School.

 

He graduated from Hart County High School in 2014.

 

In 2018, Johnson completed a music education degree at Campbellsville University.

 

He is the son of Ed and Carolyn Johnson of Munfordville.

 

At CU, Johnson was involved in concert band, wind ensemble, jazz band, trumpet ensemble and orchestra.

 

Andrea Lawler

 

Andrea Lawler is an English teacher at Campbellsville High School.

 

She graduated from Somerset High School in 1998.

 

In 2001, she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at University of the Cumberlands.

 

In 2008, Lawler received teacher certification at Campbellsville University.

 

She completed a Master of Arts degree in English in 2011 at Morehead State University.

 

And, in 2014, she completed a Master of Library and Information Science degree with media specialist certification at University of Kentucky.

 

She has previously taught at CHS, Eagle Academy and Taylor County High School.

 

Lawler also served as director at Taylor County Public Library and a media specialist at TCHS.

 

She is the daughter of Jolyn and Mike Honeycutt of Somerset.

 

Lawler is married to Luke Lawler and they have five children, Maddox, an eighth-grader at Campbellsville Middle School; Ivy, a seventh-grade iEagle student; Keeley, a third-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School; Phoenix, a second-grader at CES; and Novalyn.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing poetry and making jewelry.

 

Emilie Murrey

 

Emilie Murrey is a family and consumer sciences teacher at Campbellsville High School.

 

She graduated from Green County High School in 2006.

 

In 2011, she completed a family and child studies degree at Western Kentucky University.

 

She is currently working toward completing a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in family and consumer sciences at Eastern Kentucky University.

 

She has previously taught at Caverna and Green County high schools.

 

Murrey is the daughter of Ron and Vickie Buckman of Greensburg.

 

She is married to Jason Murrey, and they have two children, Ayden, who attends Campbellsville Elementary School, and Lena.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family members, traveling, crafting, cooking and being active at Greensburg Baptist Church.

 

Adria Rucker

 

Adria Rucker is the bookkeeper at Campbellsville High School.

 

She graduated from Taylor County High School in 2002.

 

In 2016, she completed an Associate of Arts degree at University of Phoenix.

 

She previously worked at AT&T.

 

She is the daughter of Sheila McDonald of Campbellsville.

 

Rucker is married to Marcus Rucker, and they have four children, Ava Hughes, who is an eighth-grader at Campbellsville Middle School; Caroline Rucker, who is a first-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School; and Brody Rucker and Georgia Rucker.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking and attending her children’s sporting events.

Joseph Knifley

 

Joseph Knifley is a bus driver at Campbellsville Independent Schools.

 

He graduated from Adair County High School and previously worked at The Animal Hospital.

 

He is married to Kim Knifley.

 

Joshalyn Gholston

 

Joshalyn Gholston is an assistant at the Youth Services Center, which services Campbellsville middle and high school students.

 

She graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1999.

 

In 2003, she completed a CMA/phlebotomy/EKG technician degree at Georgia Medical.

 

Gholston attended Western Kentucky University and completed an elementary education degree at University of Phoenix in 2011.

 

She has previously worked as a substitute at CIS, was a teacher at Goddard School of Smyrna and worked at Frost Arnett.

 

She is the daughter of Almeta Shively and Jonathan Spaulding of Campbellsville.

 

Gholston is married to John Gholston, and they have four children, Myricle Gholston, who is a sophomore at Campbellsville High School; John Gholston, a sixth-grade iEagle student; Destini Gholston, a fourth-grade iEagle student; and Jaron Johnson, a fifth-grade iEagle student.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family members and attending sporting events.
