CIS to host town hall meeting

Campbellsville Independent Schools will host a Town Hall meeting on Monday, Aug. 3, for parents and community members to discuss the opening of the 2020-2021 school year.

The forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Campbellsville High School’s Hamilton Auditorium.

CIS and Lake Cumberland District Health Department officials will be on hand to answer questions about the re-opening of the CIS campus.

Those attending will be asked to wear face masks and practice social distancing.

Masks will be provided, should someone not have one, and hand sanitizer will be available.

Children in first grade and older must wear a mask.

Family members will be seated together and individuals separately in designated areas to abide by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Kentucky Department of Education and Lake Cumberland District Health Department guidelines.

Space will be limited, with social distancing guidelines limiting the auditorium to half capacity.

The forum will also be streamed live on the CIS Facebook Page.

Questions can be submitted before the hearing to Calen McKinney, public information officer, at calen.mckinney@cville.kyschools.us.

During the hearing, questions can also be submitted via email and the CIS Facebook Page.

The 2020-2021 school year is set to begin Wednesday, Aug. 26.
