CHS senior to continue academic, football career at Campbellsville University

Campbellsville High School senior Tyler Gribbins will continue his academic and football career this fall at Campbellsville University.

Gribbins was honored in a special ceremony recently with family and friends.

CHS football head coach Dale Estes said Gribbins has been a great player for the Eagles.

“He was always a team player and was willing to do whatever to help the team win,” Estes said.

Gribbins primarily played linebacker, averaging more than 100 tackles in each of the last two seasons.

“He was a leader for us on defense,” Estes said. “On offense, he has played running back, wide receiver and even o-line.

“Tyler will be missed and is one of the many players that help put Campbellsville football back on top and respected in the state again.”

Estes said he wishes Gribbins the best at CU and hopes continues his great football career.

Gribbins’s father, Robbie, is an assistant coach for the Eagles and was also recently named an assistant coach at CU.

Gribbins is the son of Robbie Gribbins and Tara England.

His stepmother, Andrea Gribbins, is a teacher at Campbellsville Middle School, and his sister, Trinidy Gribbins, is a second-grader at Campbellsville Elementary School.
