Local car dealership employees honored with Change Award

iGo Motors employees were honored with the Change Award at the Campbellsville Board of Education meeting on Monday, Feb. 10.

Superintendent Kirby Smith honors three Change Award winners each month, including a certified and classified employee and a community member.

iGo Motors received the community Change Award.

The awards are given based upon six elements, which spell the word Eagles. They include Encouraging and exhibiting Attitudes of Greatness, while Leading with high Expectations to Success.

Campbellsville Independent Schools Director of Pupil Personnel Tim Bailey nominated iGo Motors for the honor.

On the nomination form, Bailey wrote that iGo Motors has partnered with Campbellsville High School to offer an attendance incentive for junior and senior students.

iGo Motors personnel donated a vehicle valued at $6,000 to be given away in a drawing at the end of the school year.

“iGo Motors realizes the importance of attendance at school and gaining a quality education,” Bailey wrote, “and wanted to make a difference for the students at CHS.”

Cindy Underwood of iGo Motors accepted the award.

She said she and her fellow iGo Motors employees want to play a small role in encouraging students to get to school each day.

Underwood said she and her fellow iGo Motors staff members appreciate all CIS employees to do to help students.
