CHS marching band to compete in Mid-States championships

Campbellsville High School marching band will compete in the Mid-States Band Association championships on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Simon Kenton High School in Independence, Ky.

CHS will perform in preliminaries at 3:30 p.m.

To wish band members good luck, Campbellsville Elementary School hosted an Eagle Walk.

Band students walked the hallways at CES on Thursday, Nov. 7, before they left the following day.

This year’s show is entitled “Diamond in the Rough.”

The show depicts how people today can be unassuming and look unimportant, but after being put under the right pressure, and, with time, people can come out shining and reflect their best selves.

The CHS marching band features about 30 members this year.

Cameron Johnson is in his first year as band director.

Brittany Johnson is assistant.
