CES, CMS students shine at national Junior Beta convention

Campbellsville elementary and middle school students won big at this year’s National Junior Beta convention, coming home with a national officer and national champion in academics.

Seventh-grader Chloe Thompson becomes the second CMS student in school history to be elected to a national office.

She was elected as the National Junior Beta vice president, and will serve in office the upcoming year.

Thompson was elected as the Kentucky Junior Beta vice president in January, which qualified her to run for the national office.

Several other CMS students won awards at the state level and advanced to compete at the national convention, which was June 15-18 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Thompson’s skit team took home fifth place at the national convention.
