CHS crowns basketball king and queen

Campbellsville High School recently celebrated basketball homecoming with several special activities.

 

Homecoming activities culminated on Thursday, Feb. 13, with the crowning of a king and queen.

 

Kaleigh Hunt and Cole Kidwell, representing the senior class, were named queen and king.

 

This year’s prince and princess are Carly Adams and Reggie Thomas from the junior class.

 

Prince and princess candidates come from the freshman, sophomore and junior classes.

 

Representing the freshman class were Chase Hord, Tyler Booth, Graci Crews and Alyssa Howard.

 

Tayler Thompson, Peyton Dabney, Dakota Harris and Karley Morris represented the sophomore class.

 

Representing the junior class were John Orberson, Carly Adams, Reggie Thomas and Catlyn Clausen.

 

King and queen candidates, from the senior class, were Blake Allen, Lauryn Agathen, Alli Wilson, Cole Kidwell, Kaleigh Hunt, Gavin Johnson, Zoe McAninch and Noah Hughes.

 

Campbellsville Elementary School first-grader Daya Griffin and kindergartener Kareem Smith were the flower girl and crown bearer.

 

This year’s homecoming theme was “We Got The Beat!”

 

Students dressed up each day this week and competed in spirit games.

 

Last Wednesday was Party in the USA Day. Students wore their patriotic gear.

 

For the day’s spirit game, students competed in a National Guard obstacle course. The sophomore class won.

 

Monday was Our House Day, and students wore pajamas and comfortable clothing.

 

Students played Knock Out for the spirit game, with seniors winning.

 

Tuesday was I Wish I Was a Baller Day, and students wore jerseys and shirts to represent their favorite sports teams.

 

Students played the makeup game, with juniors winning.

 

Wednesday was (I Wanna Be A) Rockstar Day, and students wore band shirts, big hair, leather and rock and roll attire.

 

Students played musical chairs for the spirit game, with sophomores winning.

 

Thursday was All Gold Everything Day, with students wearing purple and gold.

 

Students played the furniture game for the spirit game, with juniors winning.

 

The sophomore class was chosen as the winner of this year’s banner contest.

 

And, overall, sophomores won spirit week.
