CIS to begin school year with virtual learning

 

Campbellsville Independent Schools’ students will head back to school on Wednesday, Aug. 26, but their studies will now be online through September.

 

Gov. Andy Beshear recently strongly recommended that Kentucky public schools delay in-person classes until Monday, Sept. 28.

 

CIS Superintendent Kirby Smith discussed the recommendation with Board of Education members during their regular meeting on Monday, Aug. 10.

CIS students to receive free school supplies

 

Campbellsville Independent Schools’ students will again receive free supplies for the new school year.

 

Thanks to generous donations from many local churches and organizations, Campbellsville Elementary School PTA, CES Family Resource Center and Campbellsville Middle and High School Youth Services Center, along with their community partners, all students will receive free school supplies to use this coming year.

CES, CMS and CHS release dress codes

 

Campbellsville elementary, middle and high schools recently released dress codes for the 2020-2021 school year.

 

The dress codes outline what students can and can’t wear to school.

 

There are no changes to this year’s dress codes, with the exception of face masks being required.
