The CHS Y-Club recently attended the state KYA conference in Louisville and Frankfort. The CHS group received the award of Delegation of Excellence which is based on student participation, debate, behavior, and professionalism. A bill on unnecessary filibustering in Kentucky authored by Samuel Kessler and Alex Doss received the award of Outstanding Bill which was 1 of the 4 chosen out of more than 20 bills. Bryce Richardson was named an outstanding speaker and Blair Lamb received the award of Outstanding Conference Delegate. The conference was attended by over 1200 students from across the state and our students were amazing ambassadors for our school district.  The group was led by Mrs. Cindy Perkins and Mr. David Petett.  Click here to learn more about KYA and here to view the photo gallery.

Congratulations to Coach Dale Estes on being named the District Coach of the Year in Class A District 5 football.  Coach will be recognized during the Class A State Championship game for this honor.

Samuel Kessler was selected to participate in the Kentucky Jr. High All State Mixed Choir at KMEA in February. There were over 1200 students that auditioned. Samuel will be 1 of only approximately 50 young men that are selected to participate. Congratulations Samuel!

Mr. Mojo,Travis Brown, is recognized as America's Anti-bullying Coach for his tireless work to fight this social epidemic. He leads the way on how to stop bullying and change the lives of today's youth. The Mojo Up Anti-Bullying Program was recently presented to students at CHS.  Click here to view the video.

Congratulations to Paige Dabney who was selected from the STLP Somerset Regional Fall Showcase to be a member of the KY STLP Social Media team with a perfect score of 65/65 during her interview and presentation process. Paige was interviewed by a panel of judges and completed a presentation showing examples of how to use social media in appropriate and positive ways. Paige will now be a member of the Social Media team that covers the state STLP event at UK in March. Congratulations to this month's academic achievers!

Campbellsville High School students and 8th grade students recently participated in a Health Fair on Thursday, November 13, 2014.  Students received brief screenings for vision, dental, scoliosis, and blood pressure and information about a wide range of health topics such as stress, drugs, bullying, flexibility and balance, skin care, Medicaid eligibility, healthy relationships, etc.  Representatives from the Smile Center, Campbellsville University School of  Nursing,  Dr. Yoder, Anthem, Bethany House, Adanta and KORT Physical Therapy attended.  Click here to view photos from the event.

The CHS Academic Varsity team won two quick recall matches in league play Monday night. CHS 16 / Green Co. 3, and CHS 17 - 6 over Taylor B team. JV also won their match over Green Co.  12 to 7.
