Campbellsville Elementary school recently celebrated “I Love to Read” Day by inviting community leaders to read stories to students.

Campbellsville High School National Honor Society will sponsor a blood drive on Friday, March 13.

Congratulations to Anthony Farris!

Campbellsville Middle School science teacher Anthony Farris was featured in the Feb. 23 issue of the Central Kentucky News-Journal. Farris was interviewed as part of a series of stories about Black History Month. Be sure to read the story!

Campbellsville Middle School choir will host its annual “Singing for Sweets” fundraiser at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, at the school cafeteria.

Plans to renovate Campbellsville Independent Schools are moving forward.

Campbellsville Board of Education members will soon interview representatives from three architecture firms and then decide who will design the upcoming construction and renovation at the school district.

 

Campbellsville High School’s chili supper to benefit principal Kirby Smith’s family has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 3.

The supper was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17, but was rescheduled because of inclement weather.

Campbellsville High School junior varsity boys’ basketball team defeated Taylor and Marion counties to win the Boys’ 20th District Junior Varsity Tournament championship on Saturday, Feb. 14.

Campbellsville High School will host an open house and ribbon cutting for its new field house on the Campbellsville Elementary School campus on Saturday, March 14.

Congratulations to Junior Guard members!

Campbellsville Independent Schools’ students participating in Junior Guard for the 2014-2015 school year are Brandon Lawson, Savannah Lane, Haley Watson, Tristan Lopez, Christian Berry and Nicolas Cowan. Aaron Webb, a specialist with the Campbellsville National Guard, sponsors the Junior Guard, which is part of the Drug Demand Reduction Program.

Campbellsville High School has partnered with a local mother in her quest to stop drug abuse in Taylor County.

Campbellsville High School senior Austin Ward has passed medical testing and was sworn in as a U.S. Army National Guard soldier on Friday, Feb. 6.

 

Campbellsville High School has formed an Eagle News Team, which will work with Campbellsville radio station Q-104 to deliver news about the district to the Taylor County community.

Congratulations to CMS Leaders of the Week!

Campbellsville Middle School recently named its Leaders of the Week for the week of Feb. 2. They are fourth-grader Damon Johnson, eighth-grader Brooke Tucker, sixth-grader Clark Kidwell, seventh-grader Emily Rodgers and fifth-grader Zachary Underwood.

Campbellsville Middle School cheerleaders are selling Eagles socks as a fundraiser.

Socks are $14 a pair and are purple and gold with Eagles lettering. They are availalble in children and adult sizes.

Campbellsville High School was to host a chili supper on Tuesday, Feb. 17, during a basketball doubleheader to benefit principal Kirby Smith’s family.

However, because of snow, Campbellsville Independent Schools wasn't in session Feb. 17, and the chili supper will be rescheduled.
