Students in Block 1 are working on a new program with Mrs. Knifley called the LIPPS program.  This will help increase students reading abiltiy and spelling.  She will be working with the class for 45 mins. each morning and again in the afternoon.  Also students are to read every night from their reading book.  This week the story is called, A Day's Work.  Every night after your child has read his reading assignment, please sign their sheet that they have read.  Also they need to be reading from an AR book for 30 minutes every night.  The only way we can improve is through practice.  We have stopped all other homework so they can spend this time in reading.  Please make sure your child is practicing each and every night.
