Process:

During the summer of 2016 my friend Caylie invited me to go to North Carolina with her and her family. I eagerly accepted the offer. We traveled and came upon our destination. I was quickly fascinated by the beautiful views and great food. One night we went driving around and came upon a beautiful small town. We got out and walked around and started exploring the beautiful night time scenery on the pier and that’s where we saw the boats. The boats were big, tall, and breathtaking so I knew I had to capture this moment with my IPhone 6 camera. So after vacation was over and school started back up I came upon an opportunity to submit a photo in a category for the STLP project. Scrolling through my images in my phone I stumbled across the boat picture from North Carolina and it suddenly became clear on which photo I wanted to use. I wanted to do the manipulated photo category so I went to google and searched for Pixlr photo editor. Not completely sure on how to use it I was playing around with the filters and found that black and white was something that I liked. As I continued to mess around I found Kaleidoscope filter. This filter changed the picture into a flower and it really caught my eye and I knew I was done. In the end I was very happy with my final product in the manipulated photo category entry.
