The Computer Science career pathway will consist of taking additional CS courses as well as participation in the Student Technology Leadership Program. Once a student has completed three courses in the pathway, they will sit for the KOSSA exam or industry certification exam. If they pass the exam, the student is then considered career ready for the technical component. Industry certifications are available depending on the students career path such as MOS and MTA. Following is a list of some of the courses to choose from: Hardware and Software Concepts, Computational Thinking, Programming Introductions to Python, C++ and C#, Web Page Development, Introduction to Networking, Help Desk Operations, Security Fundamentals and advanced productivity software. Students will also be given a chance to improve their soft skills and participate in internship and co-op opportunities. Pre-requisite: Computer Literacy and Applications
