CIS to open Eagle Center of Innovation

 

Campbellsville Independent Schools will soon open a new innovation center for students to immerse themselves in hands-on, authentic learning.

 

The Eagle Center of Innovation, also called iEagle, will open in August.

 

Students who apply and are accepted will attend classes at the iEagle campus, which will be located at Campbellsville Middle School.

 

iEagle is open to students in fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grades.

CES preschool students study the letter Q

 

Campbellsville Elementary School preschool students are working hard to learn the alphabet in preparation for kindergarten.

 

Each week, students focus on learning a specific letter.

 

Recently, students in Denise Spencer’s class learned all about the letter Q.

CHS Y Club hosts canned food drive

 

Campbellsville High School Y Club recently sponsored a canned food drive at Campbellsville middle and high schools.

 

The drive was part of junior Zaria Cowan’s service project.

 

Cowan is running for the secretary general office at this year’s KUNA conference.

 

In all, 107 cans were collected and will be donated to the Taylor County Food Pantry.

CMS/CHS volleyball banquet set for Thursday, April 25

 

Campbellsville middle and high school volleyball teams will host a banquet to celebrate this year’s successes.

 

The banquet will be Thursday, April 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Campbellsville Elementary School cafeteria.

 

This year’s CMS team featured four eighth-grade players, including Amelia Christie, Antaya Epps, BreAnna Humphress and Dakota Slone.

 

And the CHS team featured four seniors, including Natalie Caldwell, Samantha Mason, Salena Ritchie and Tatem Wiseman.
