CIS to host public forum on school safety


Campbellsville Independent Schools is working with local law enforcement to host a public forum to discuss school safety.


The forum will be Tuesday, March 20, at 6 p.m. in Hamilton Auditorium.


The event is free and open to the public, and all CIS parents are urged to attend.

CHS swim teams finish 14th, 16th


Campbellsville High School swim teams recently competed in Shelby County and in Region Three competition in Elizabethtown.


The girls’ and boys’ teams finished in 16th place recently in Shelby County.


Combined, CHS finished in 20th place.


At region competition, the girls’ team finished in 14th place and the boys’ team was 13th. Combined, the CHS team finished 14th.

CES hosts luncheon for law enforcement officers


Campbellsville Elementary School hosted a soup luncheon on Friday, March 16, in honor of all law enforcement officers.


All city, county and state law enforcement officials were invited.


Cafeteria staff members prepared a variety of soups, and teachers and staff members made homemade desserts.

Campbellsville Elementary School kindergarten students recently enjoyed an afternoon of drawing.


In Adrienne Hash’s art class, students are encouraged to use their imaginations to express their creativity.
