Campbellsville High School will host a blood drive on Friday, March 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kentucky Blood Center officials will be on hand to help students, teachers, staff members, parents and community members donate.
Donors must be at least 17 – 16 with parental consent – to be considered for donation.
Those who wish to donate should check in at the office, and then make their way to Hamilton Auditorium.
The Kentucky Blood Center is in need of many types of blood, including A+, A-, B+, B-, AB+ and AB-.
CHS National Honor Society hosts the blood drives each school year.
Members coordinate all the scheduling, documenting and escorting students and teachers who donate throughout the day.
The drives are one of the entirely student-led activities at CHS.
At the end of the school year, Kentucky Blood Center officials award a scholarship to one of the CHS NHS members.
Current NHS members are seniors Chanson Atkinson, Ryan Wiedewitsch, Bryce Richardson, Caitlin Bright, Madison Dial, Kimberly Harden, Connor Wilson and Alex Doss and juniors Jeremiah Jackson, Elizabeth Sullivan, Abbie Dicken, Reagan Knight, Myles Murrell and Brandon Greer.
Susan Dabney is the NHS sponsor.
