CHS fishing squad competes in team tournament

Campbellsville High School fishing team recently hosted its first Battle of the CHS Bass Fishing Tournament.

The team divided into four squads to compete against each other, and the winner took home bragging rights until the next tournament.

Winners were seniors Caleb Hughes and Tosye Cox, whose largest fish weighed just more than 4 pounds.

This year’s CHS fishing team is made up of eight members, including seniors Tosye Cox, Devonte Cubit, Caleb Hughes, Bryce Richardson and Connor Wilson, freshman Jake Dicken, Campbellsville Middle School eighth-grader Dakota Harris and seventh-grader Chase Hord.

Jeff Richardson is the coach.

Boat captains are Richard Dicken, Virgil Parker and Bronson Gowdy.
