CES students celebrate Dr. Seuss

Campbellsville Elementary School students recently celebrated Dr. Seuss with some special guests.

Campbellsville University students came to CES on Wednesday, March 7, to read some of Dr. Seuss’s classic books.

CU students talked about how Dr. Seuss wrote his books in a rhyming style and how reading is always important, no matter a person’s age.

CES students are celebrating Dr. Seuss with a week of several special events, in honor of Read Across America Week. Events began on Monday, March 5, and will end Friday, March 9.

Students can participate in dress-up days geared toward Seuss’s books, along with other activities.

Read Across America is an annual reading awareness program that motivates students to read. Activities are hosted each year around March 2, which was Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
