Campbellsville Independent Schools is investigating the report of a message written in a bathroom stall at the Campbellsville High School campus.
The message was not a direct threat to any student or staff member.
However, in light of recent events at public schools, we felt the need to increase security and notify parents of the incident.
The safety of all CIS students and staff members is always a top priority.
After the message was discovered, CHS officials contacted Campbellsville Police.
Officers responded to the school, and will remain on campus until the end of the day at 1 p.m., in an effort to provide additional security for all students, staff members and visitors.
Police officers will continue to be on campus through the District tournament basketball games on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Classes will continue as planned through the end of the school day, with an increased police presence.
