CES students study penguins

Campbellsville Elementary School students are learning all about Antarctica and penguins.

In Tonya Hagan’s second-grade class, students have been discussing the different types of penguins and reading the classic novel “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” by Richard and Florence Atwater.

Hagan’s students made penguin report books, including information about penguin habitats, food and more.

Students are also practicing their writing skills by authoring essays about penguins.

Recently, Hagan brought some stuffed penguins to school to keep her students company as they wrote.
