CMS sixth-graders win Showcase competition

Campbellsville Middle School academic team members won the sixth-grade Showcase competition on Saturday, Dec. 2.

 

At the competition, sixth-grade students compete in several events, including written composition, quick recall and exams in math, science, social studies, language arts and arts and humanities.

 

The following students medaled at the competition.

 

Isaac Billeter placed fifth in language arts.

 

Kayden Birdwell finished second in social studies and language arts.

 

Karlie Cox received fourth place in social studies and third in written composition.

 

Brianna Dobson won second place in arts and humanities.

 

Isaac Garrison was fifth in math and third in science.

 

Angelica Seng won fourth place in math and first in written composition.

 

And the CMS quick recall team finished in fourth place.

 

CMS competed against students from Adair, Green, LaRue, Russell and Taylor counties.

 

Steven Gumm and Debbie Edwards are the CMS academic team coaches.
