CHS girls’ basketball team takes on Anderson County

Campbellsville High School girls’ basketball team took on Anderson County on Friday, Feb. 17.

 

Despite fighting to the final buzzer, CHS couldn’t get the win.

 

Final score was 39-62.

 

CHS senior Brenna Wethington led her team with nine points. CHS junior Kiyah Barnett had eight.

 

The game closed out the regular season for the Lady Eagles, with an 18-10 record.

 

CHS will play in this year’s 20th district tournament this week.

 

In the first round, CHS will play Adair County on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Game time is 8 p.m. at Adair County High School.

 

Anthony Epps is in his first year as CHS girls’ basketball head coach.

 

Assistant coaches are Katie Wilkerson, Natalia Warren, George Eon and Debbie Gowdy-Smith.
