CHS boys’ freshmen basketball team is runner-up in District tournament

Campbellsville High School boys’ freshmen basketball team is the runner-up in this year’s 20th District tournament.

 

On Saturday, Feb. 4, teams battled at Adair County High School for the tournament championship title.

 

In the first round, CHS defeated Taylor County by a score of 44-38.

 

Despite battling hard, CHS couldn’t defeat Marion County to get the championship title. Final score was 38-51.

 

Tim Davis is in his 22nd year as CHS boys’ basketball head coach.

 

Assistant coaches are Cody Wills, Will Griffin, Chris “Scoop” Smith and Chris “Peewee” Smith.

 

The team will take on Thomas Nelson on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. at the CHS gym in the last home game of the season.

 

The last game of the season will be in LaRue County on Monday, Feb. 13.
