CES students learn to play musical instruments

Campbellsville Elementary School students recently learned to play chords with boomwhackers in their music class.

Boomwhackers are tuned percussion tubes that students use to hit against each objects to create sounds.

Students in Cyndi Chadwick’s music classes were recently introduced to boomwhackers during a discussion about pitch and how different notes combine to make a chord.

Chadwick then gave students each a boomwhacker and they performed the song “Meet the Boomwhackers” and later “Imperial March” from Star Wars.
