CES students learn about community helpers

Campbellsville Elementary School kindergarten students are learning all about community helpers and how they can help their community when they get older.

In Lisa Wiseman’s class, students learned that community helpers are people who have jobs that allow them to help people in the community.

Some examples students named include firefighters, teachers, doctors, police officers, garbage collectors and many more.

Wiseman’s students said they can be community helpers by helping their parents at home with cleaning, washing dishes, vacuuming and turning off the lights.

After the lesson, students thought about what they might want to be when they grow up and how their careers can help other people.

When they decided what they want to be, students posed for a photo showing what they might look like if they really worked in that career.
