CMS academic team members prepare for district competition

Campbellsville Middle School fourth- and fifth-grade academic team members are preparing for the upcoming district Governor’s Cup competition.

 

The team’s quick recall group recently scrimmaged the Kentucky Christian Academy team.

 

District Governor’s Cup competition will be Monday, Feb. 6, for future problem solving and written composition and Saturday, Feb. 11, in quick recall and written assessment.

 

Fourth- and fifth-grade students compete at the elementary level.

 

In its district, CMS fourth- and fifth-graders compete against KCA and Taylor County Elementary School.

 

At Governor’s Cup competitions, teams compete in on-demand writing, quick recall, future problem solving and five written exams, including math, science, social studies, language arts and arts and humanities.

 

KCA will host the competition this year.
