CES, CHS receive School of Distinction banners

Campbellsville elementary and high schools recently received School of Distinction banners from the Kentucky Department of Education.

The schools, based on state testing results from the 2015-2016 school year, tested into the state’s highest category – School of Distinction.

This is the first time either school has received this designation, and, as a result of its high score, CHS ranks in the Top 20 of all Kentucky high schools.

And, overall, Campbellsville Independent Schools is a Distinguished district.

In a letter written by Commissioner of Education Dr. Stephen Pruitt and Kentucky Board of Education Chair William Twyman, CES and CHS are among the schools making the highest progress in the state – and those in the Top 10 percent of improvement.

“This is an indication that the efforts of teachers, administrators, students and parents are paying off.”

The banners are hung by the CES main office and the college and career readiness center at CHS.
