CHS girls’ varsity basketball team defeats Hancock County

Campbellsville High School girls’ varsity basketball team defeated Hancock County on Friday, Dec. 9.

 

Final score was 37-32.

 

CHS senior Caylie Blair and junior Vonnea Smith each had seven points for the Lady Eagles.

 

Brenna Wethington, a senior, and Campbellsville Middle School eighth-grader Catlyn Clausen each added six points to the scoreboard.

 

Anthony Epps is in his first year as CHS girls’ basketball head coach.

 

Assistant coaches are Katie Wilkerson, Natalia Warren, George Eon and Debbie Gowdy-Smith.

 

The girls’ freshmen team will take on Elizabethtown and Glasgow on Monday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively, at the CHS gym.

 

The JV team will play Spencer County on Monday, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m. at the CHS gym.

 

And the varsity squad will take on Taylor County on Friday, Jan. 6, at 6 p.m. at Taylor County High School.
