CHS musician makes school history

Campbellsville High School senior Murphy Lamb has made school history.

Lamb is the first CHS student – and the first student in the region – to be chosen to participate in the Kentucky Music Educator Association’s all-state jazz ensemble.

The ensemble is the KMEA’s top high school jazz ensemble.

He was chosen to participate as the pianist for the group, and will practice and perform during the KMEA music educator’s in-service conference next year.

Lamb was one of about 1,200 musicians to audition for the ensemble.

Being selected to participate in all-state ensembles is the top honor a band student can achieve in Kentucky.

Zach Shelton is the CHS band director.
