CES honors academic achievers

Campbellsville Elementary School recently announced its academic achievers for December.

 

A boy and a girl from each grade level are named, and were honored at the Campbellsville Board of Education’s regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 12.

 

Those recognized include:

 

Kindergarten

 

Aubrey Allen is the daughter of Whitney and Walter Allen. Her favorite teacher is Nikki Price and she enjoys playground time. Her future plan is to work at a pet store.

 

Gage Henderson is the son of Greg Henderson. His favorite teacher is Kimberly Clark and he likes recess time. He enjoys going to church and his future plans are to become a dad and work at Huddle House.

 

First Grade

 

Asia Singleton is the daughter of Tamara and Martin Combs. She enjoys cheerleading. Math is her favorite class and Amanda Greer is her favorite teacher. Her future plans are to attend Campbellsville University and become a teacher.

 

Dax Gray is the son of Brittany and Darian Gray. He enjoys playing basketball. His favorite subject is reading and Hailey Ogle is his favorite teacher. His future plans are to attend Campbellsville University.

 

Second Grade

 

Natalia West is the daughter of Natasha and Michael West. She enjoys playing basketball. Science is her favorite subject and Shirley Cox is her favorite teacher. Her future plans are to attend Campbellsville University and become a singer.

 

Stephen Green is the son of Ricky and Melissa Green. He enjoys playing baseball. Tracey Rinehart is his favorite teacher and math is his favorite subject. His future plans are to attend Berea College.

 

Third Grade

 

Savannah Wethington is the daughter of James and Carla Wethington. Her favorite teacher is Lynne Horn and math is her favorite class. She plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College and become a math teacher.

 

Christian Hart is the son of Tiffany Smith. He enjoys playing basketball and football. Melanie Cox is his favorite teacher and reading is his favorite class. He wants to attend college and possibly become a doctor.
