CHS honors academic achievers

Campbellsville High School recently announced its academic achievers for November.

 

A boy and a girl from each grade are named, and were honored at Campbellsville Board of Education’s regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 14.

 

Those recognized include:

 

Freshmen

 

Katelyn Miller is the daughter of Joanie and Billy Miller. Her favorite teacher is Cheryl Dicken and math is her favorite subject. Her school activities are playing basketball, track and being a member of Beta Club. Her future plans are to attend University of Louisville and play college basketball.

 

Malachi Corley is the son of Lotonya Bridgewater and Chop Bridgewater. Tyler Hardy is his favorite teacher and language arts is his favorite subject. His school activities are playing basketball and football. His future plans are to go to college and play football and basketball.

 

Sophomores

 

Mariah Lowery is the daughter of Chris Lowery and Della Smith. Her favorite teacher is Blake Milby and integrated social studies is her favorite subject. Her school activities are playing softball. Her future plans are to attend University of Kentucky and make a career in nursing.

 

Jorden Perkins is the son of Steve and BJ Perkins. His favorite teacher is Tammy Wilson. His future plans are to become an electrician.

 

Juniors

 

Missy Vanorder is the daughter or Wanda and Mark Vanorder. Her favorite teacher is Lindsey Williams and language/reading is her favorite subject. Her school activities are Beta, KYA, Student Council and being vice president of the junior class. Her future plans are to attend college and become a business marketing major with a minor in fashion.

 

Alex Doss is the son of Dee and Steve Doss. His favorite subject is social studies. School activities are playing golf, swimming and being in involved with Beta, National Honor Society and Leadership. His future plans are to attend college and play collegiate golf.

 

Seniors

 

Blair Lamb is the daughter of Tammy Harris and Doug Lamb. Her favorite teacher is Lindsey Williams and English is her favorite subject. Her school activities are Beta Club, National Honor Society, Show Choir, the Y-Club and being class secretary. Her future plans are to attend Belmont University or Northern Kentucky University and major in music theater.

 

Murphy Lamb is the son of Tammy Harris and Doug Lamb.  His favorite teacher is Cheryl Dicken and physics is his favorite subject. His school activities are Beta Club, National Honor Society and band. His future plans are to go to college and major in engineering or music.
