CES kindergarteners learn about warm, cool colors

Campbellsville Elementary School kindergarteners recently learned about warm and cool colors.

In Adrienne Hash’s art class, students practiced what they learned by doing some painting.

First, students painted a piece of paper with watercolors, using only the cool colors purple, blue and green.

Next, students painted another piece of paper with leaves printed on it, using warm colors red, yellow and orange.

After the paint dried, students cut out the leaves and glued them to their cool color painting.

The end result showed the students the contrast between warm and cool colors.
