CES students study pop art

Campbellsville Elementary School students are studying pop art, and making some of their own.

In Adrienne Hash’s classes, students are learning about pop artists Roy Lichtenstein and Jim Dine.

Pop art is art based on pop culture and the trends of the time period. Pop art can be made from everyday items.

Dine made art by painting colorful hearts.

To illustrate the pop art concept, students made their own drawings using stencils and complementary colors.
