CES art students learn about Thanksgiving

Campbellsville Elementary School art students are learning about Thanksgiving.

In Adrienne Hash’s class, students recently listened to the book “A Turkey for Thanksgiving” by Eve Bunting.

The book is about a turkey who is invited to a Thanksgiving dinner, but fears he will end up on the table as the main course.

To discourage his friends from inviting him to dinner, Turkey places signs on his property to discourage guests.

As an assignment, students were asked to color a picture of Turkey, and then, as if they were a turkey, think about the signs they would make to discourage visitors.

Students wrote signs such as “No Turkey Here,” “Go Away Until After Thanksgiving” and more.
