CES fifth-graders learn about United States regions

Campbellsville Elementary School fifth-graders were recently teachers for a day.

In Lisa Kearney’s social studies class, students are learning about the five regions in the United States, including the west, midwest, northeast, southeast and southwest.

Students were divided into groups and researched a region.

Kearney asked students to learn about the landforms, cities, climate, culture, natural resources, attractions, special facts and more about their region.

When finished, students rotated to different groups to teach their classmates about what they learned.

After students rotated to different groups, students were asked to compare and contrast the regions and then talk about which is their favorite.
