CES students search for hidden numbers

Campbellsville Elementary School students are working hard to sharpen their math skills.

In Lisa Wiseman’s class, students recently searched for some hidden numbers.

Wiseman gave each student a picture of a gumball machine and asked students to color it with crayons.

Next, she asked her students to fill the gumball machine with 10 pieces of gum cut out of construction paper.

When they were finished, Wiseman divided their gumball machine in half and asked her students to find two hidden numbers that add to 10.

When they found their new numbers, students placed their gum balls in the machine to represent them.
