CES students plan for their futures

Campbellsville Elementary School kindergarten students are preparing for their futures.

In Kimberly Clark’s class, students recently read a book about growing up and making a plan for what they will do when they get older.

Clark read the book “When I Grow Up” by Sean Covey.

The book is based on the second of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, which is to begin with the end in mind.

“When I Grow Up” is about Allie, who has dreams for her life, but must grow up before she can achieve them.

Clark discussed with her students what they want to become when they get older, and what they must do in order to fulfill their goals.

Several of the students said they want to become pizza makers, doctors and work at retail stores.

But first, Clark said, they must grow up and form a plan by going to school and working hard.
