CES students learn about compound words

Campbellsville Elementary School third-graders are learning about compound words.

Farrah Hord, a writing interventionist, works with CES students each day to improve their writing skills.

Recently, Hord helped students think of words that contain “sh,” and to understand compound words, which are words that can be placed together to make a new word while still having meaning on their own.

Hord helped students think of compound words and then challenged them to write some on their own.
