CES honors academic achievers

Campbellsville Elementary School recently announced its academic achievers for September.

 

A boy and a girl from each grade level are named, and were recognized at the Campbellsville Board of Education’s meeting on Monday, Sept. 11.

 

Those recognized include:

 

Kindergarten

 

Joshua Dickens is the son of Chelsie Davis. His favorite teacher is Lisa Wiseman and he enjoys carpet time. He likes to play and make big puzzles.

 

Mae Miller is the daughter of Mark and Kylee Miller. Her favorite teacher is Kimberly Clark and her favorite subject is reading. She enjoys playing soccer and playing outside.

 

First Grade

 

Carson Montes is the son of Maurisio and Courtney Montes. He enjoys playing Wii and playing with his cousins. Amanda Greer is his favorite teacher. His future plans are to be a firefighter.

 

Carol Moura is the daughter of Saulo and Juliana Moura. She enjoys playing and eating ice cream with her friends. Miriah Cox is her favorite teacher. Her future plans are to become a teacher.

 

Second Grade

 

Journey Webb is the daughter of Aaron Webb and Joy Tobin. She enjoys playing outside, art and music. Science is her favorite subject and Tonya Hagan is her favorite teacher. Her future plans are to help children by being a teacher.

 

Jackson Bates is the son of Terra Bates. He enjoys playing video games and playing with his friends. Lynne Horn is his favorite teacher and art is his favorite subject. His future plans are to be a builder.

 

Third Grade

 

Ava Ellis is the daughter of Patrick and Luci Shofner and John Ellis. Her favorite teacher is Hannah Jones and art is her favorite class. She enjoys watching TV, coloring and watching her brother play soccer. She plans to become a veterinarian.

 

Aidan Wilson is the son of Rick and Tammy Wilson. He enjoys playing soccer, football and walking. Tracy Rinehart is his favorite teacher and math is his favorite class. He plans to be a veterinarian and take care of hurting animals.

 

Fourth Grade

 

Kennedy Griffiths is the daughter of William and Heather Griffiths. She enjoys gymnastics, coloring and playing with her cousins. Her favorite teacher is Maranda Wright and science is her favorite subject. Her future plans are to become a teacher.

 

Connor Coots is the son of Keri Coots and T.J. Coots. He enjoys art, climbing and rescuing animals. Social studies is his favorite subject and he wants to be a preacher.

 

Fifth Grade

 

Taylan Hunt is the son of Patrick and April Hunt. He enjoys playing football and playing outside. Ann Michael Tucker is his favorite teacher and math is his favorite subject. His future plans are to become a teacher.

 

Dezarae Washington is the daughter of Bobbi Phillips. She enjoys playing basketball, playing games on her tablet and hanging out with friends and family members. Math is her favorite subject. Her future plans are to become a nurse.
