CES Wings Express program begins Aug. 28

Campbellsville Elementary School will begin its afterschool Wings Express program on Monday, Aug. 28.

The program, which is for students in kindergarten through third grade, is free to those who apply and are accepted.

Applications to attend Wings Express were sent home with students this week and should be returned as soon as possible.

Wings Express is a program to help students with homework and other activities. Students receive help with reading, math, science, technology, social skills and more. They also participate in activities to learn about nutrition.

Wings Express students stay at school from 3 to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There are no activities on Fridays.

Students are given a snack and then divided into groups to participate in programs that best fit their needs.

About 90 students will participate in the Wings Express program.

Doretha Sanders is Wings Express director.

For more information about the program, call Sanders at (270) 465-4561.
