CES first-graders play math games

Campbellsville Elementary School first-grade students recently had fun playing math games together.

In Hailey Ogle’s class, students spend time each day rotating to various math centers.

At the centers, students play math card games, flash cards and Dominos counting games. They also use dice to practice addition and count by measuring items.

One game students play with Ogle helps them find what playing cards add to 10. The first student to find a total of 10 gets to keep the cards. And, the student with the most cards wins the game.
