CES students make musical instruments

Campbellsville Elementary School students recently made their own musical instruments.

CES celebrated Music Week the week of April 24-28, with dress-up days for students and staff members and other activities.

The dress-up days coincided with genres of music, and those who dressed up entered their names into a drawing for prizes.

To go along with the dress-up days, CES third-graders participated in a contest to make a homemade instrument.

All instruments are now on display in the school library.

Prizes for the best instruments will be awarded.

The week ended with a special performance on Friday morning by the Campbellsville University Steel Band.

For more information, contact CES music teacher Cyndi Chadwick at (270) 465-4561.
