CES students honored at leadership luncheon

Campbellsville Elementary School’s Leaders of the Month for the month of February were recently honored with a luncheon.

 

Teachers choose one student from their classrooms who exhibit leadership skills throughout the month to be named a Leader of the Month.

 

And, at the end of the month, CES Lighthouse Team members host a lunch to honor the students.

 

Community leaders are invited and the CES leaders are given the opportunity to talk and eat with them.

 

Community guests included Dr. Shane Garrison, vice president for enrollment services at Campbellsville University; Campbellsville Board of Education Chair Pat Hall; Jan Hayes, manager of Community Trust Bank; Will Burgess, associate pastor of youth at Campbellsville Baptist Church; Dr. Chris Schmidt, dean of students at Lindsey Wilson College; Paige Hord, owner of The Green Room; and retired teacher Wanda Brockman.

 

Students honored include kindergarteners Natalee Shaw, Veda Burgess, Carson Montes, Gracie Gebler and Miley Orberson; first-graders Luke Mardis, Hunter Clark, Owen Skaggs, Lillian Martin and Destini Gholston; second-graders Marissa Sumners, Annabelle Brockman, Kairi Tucker, Ava Ellis and Seamus Huber; and third-graders Alexis Graves, Isaiah Jeffries, Martin Yang, Cody Tamez and Chance Owens.
