CES students add fractions

Campbellsville Elementary School students are practicing adding fractions.

In Marcia Sharp’s third-grade class, students are using number lines to help them add fractions together.

Students draw two lines and then divide them into different fraction increments. This helps them visualize which fractions are equal to each other.

Then, students can use this information to easily add fractions together.
