CES students raise money for children in need

Campbellsville Elementary School students recently raised money to help local children.

 

On Friday, March 3, CES hosted a hat day to raise money for the Campbellsville/Taylor County Crusade for Children donation drive.

 

Students paid $1 to wear a hat for the day, and all money collected was given to Crusade for Children.

 

Campbellsville Fire & Rescue and Taylor County Fire Department personnel organize the annual drive.

 

In all, CES students raised $115.

 

Campbellsville Fire & Rescue and Taylor County Fire Department personnel came to CES on Friday, March 17, to accept the donation.

 

Those attending included Taylor County Fire Chief George Wilson, Assistant Chief Randy Bricken Sr. and volunteer Randy Bricken Jr., who is a custodian at CES.

 

Campbellsville Fire & Rescue firefighters Daniel Cook and Matthew Taylor and Captain Brent Lile also came to CES to accept the donation.
